- We are students from Ozel Bilkent Lisesi. We studied William Golding's 'Lord of the flies' and we prepared this blog to guide the students all over the world.
Ralph - He's the leader of the children in island. He behave like father. He represents serenity. (strong, equal, trustworthy, hardworking, mature, thoughtful, careful, democratic, optimistic)
ReplyDeleteJack - He's a moody and ambitious kid, because he always want to be the leader of the group. He trust himself a lot. (arrogent, brutal, snob, dictator, racist, impatient, easy-going, hunter, cold-blodded)
Piggy - He's a passive boy, he's very smart but he doesn't behave active; because he doesn't want to argue with others. He's well-organised, because he's the one who wants to build shelters and make a name list.
Simon - He's the most peaceful kid in the group, he doesn't fight with others and he tries to inform good things to others. He's optimistic, balanced, serene, mature and sensitive.
Ralph - He is very strong and he can solve his problems easily. He has got good and trustable leadership skills. He is peaceful and benevolent. He can lead the kids in a good way.He is brave and open-minded kid.
ReplyDeleteJack - He is strong and wild. he is savage. He uses democracy as a tool to rule the kids and everything. He is kind of a lazy person that's why he uses some kids as a pawn. He wants Ralph's position in the island.
Piggy - He is so smart and open-minded person. He is so fat like a pig. Thats why his nickname is piggy.He is pure reserved. He can use his tools ( ex: his glasses ) in a clever way.
Simon - He is peaceful and calm character. He is religious boy and he represents Jesus Christ in the book. He loves nature and he feels like he is the one part of the nature. He is reserved too.
Ralphhhh - He is a good leader. He is not evil and he is trustworthy. He has a good leadership and he has manners. He can look after the littluns easily with his great marksmanship. He is the light side of this story.
ReplyDeletePiggy - He is soo fat like a fat dino and he is useless. Everyone want him to be death. His glasses are more important than him because at least they are useful. He is the right hand of Ralph. Everyone prefers a strawberry to be friends rather than him.
Simon - He is a religious boy. He believes that thing :D He loves mother nature. He dies peacefully because he is peaceful. He is mature and calm. He can make wise decisions. He inform groups.
Jack - He is awesome. He is the evil one. The dark side of this story is Jack. He is the most powerful kid in that island. He loves violence and he is cruel. He loves blood and he loves to kill. He kills for fun. He can lure people easily to himself because he has very talented hunting skills so he has foods. He is the most important character in the story.
Ralph;

Jack;
He is a leader of church choir. He can't control his self. He is a wild boy. Hunting became an obsession for him. He is an ambitious boy. He placed the pesimistic. He is snob.He never want rules. He represents brutal side of humanity.
Piggy;
He is brain of the group. He is fat child and he always says something about saving from an island. He sahres his ideas with Ralph. He always says trues, because of it no one like Piggy. He represents poverty. He is hot blooded, passive and hidden. He is logal of society.
Simon;
He is a brave boy. He represents Jesus in novel. He is also innocence boy. He always tries to help other ones. He learns that real beast is inside the children. He is the mystical charcter of novel. He has extra ordinary sences. He is optimistic. He is the part of nature. He is the only cracter that knows there is no beast. He is open minded. He is reserved and balanced.
Ralph: He is leader of the children .he belives one day they will rescue from the island so that he tries to product himself and the others.He is peaceful buy and also he behaves brave .he is loyal supporter of democracy

Simon: Simon is one of the most important character in the book.He represents Jesus .He is brave and loyal boy.He always prophesies about events .He is thoughtful boy.
Piggy: He is clever boy .He is not active character like Ralph or Jack.He always produce new ideas .He is heplful and mature boy.He is strong supporter of the Ralph
Ralph: Ralph is optimistic and has a strong character thats why he is the first leader. His leadership is based on democracy and peace. He represents serenity. He is hard worker and indecisive.
ReplyDeleteJack: The novel'S anarchist .He pretends like he is pessimictic. He symbolizes the brutal side of humanity and violence. He has a great self confident thats why i like him most. He wants to damage nature.
simon: A shy, sensitive boy in the group. Simon is the only naturally good character on the island.He symbolizes Jesus. He is in peace eith nature and he feels like he is a part of nature .Moreover, he is the only character that who knows there is no beast and he is the mystical character in the novel.
piggy: A whiny, intellectual boy. He is the intelligent one in the group. Piggy represents povery. He is open minded and hot blooded.

ReplyDeleteHe is a good leader.Piggy is his very good friend.He has a shell.He has conflicts with Jack.He doesn't like Jack and his hunters.He wants to save from this island.They do some plans about it.He is peaceful and democratic.
Jack
He is a hunter.He always wants to be a leader but he can't because of Ralph.But after a time he leaves Ralph's group and creates his own group.He is an ambitious boy.
Piggy
He is fat.He is low educated boy.He has an asthma.He has eye-glasses.People doesn't care about him.He is a passive character.
Simon
He doesn't believe to monster.His long hairs symbolizes Jesus.He is very peaceful and hardworking.
Ralph: Ralph is the novel’s protagonist the twelve-year-old English boy who is elected leader of the group.All children trust him because he is brave and he likes a father and mother all of children.Ralph always believe that they will survive.He wants to keep the fire for rescue.He believes in democracy.He represents serenity.He is hard worker.
ReplyDeleteJack: Jack is The novel’s antagonist .He represents evil and brutal side of humanity.Because first he was an innocent kid but then he became like a monster.He is very ambitious and he always wants to be the leader.He is violence and against democracy.He is nervous.
Piggy:He is very smart but no one cares him.He is not active boy.He is fat boy and all children gibe with him.He represents poverty.He wish to get safed.He is poen-minded.He thinks before action.He is hot blooded.He is well organized he did the name list.
Simon: Simon is represents Jesus.He has extra ordinary senses.He is optimistic.He is in peace with nature.He is only one who knows there is no real beast.He is mature.He is helpful and sensetive.He gave the name to Lord of the Flies.He always wants to help people but no one understand this.
RALPH: He is the first headman in the tribe. He is also serene. He is a peaceful boy rather than Jack. He has father postion in the tribe. He represents democracy in the group because he is the one who discovers the conchshell. On the other hand he is mature. That maturitiy drives him into father and leader position.
ReplyDeleteJACK: Jack is the most violent one in the tribe. He represents evil and he is hotblooded. He also symbolises anarchy and it causes violence. He is the firs hunter in the group then he gained power and become leader with his savageness.
PİGGY: He is the brainy one in the tribe. He has great ideas but nobody cares him. He has weird accent that it shows us he is a low classsed guy in the society. He symbolises poverty that we can understand from his behaviours and his accent.
SİMON: Simon represents Jesus in the novel. He has peaceful behaviours and he is also mysterious. He secretely sneaks off to nature. It shows us he is fully in peace with nature. He is always optimistic, beacuse he always searches for peaceful solutions to problems.
Ralph: He is a leader.He symbolizes democracy and good in this book.His most important behaviour is how he did command the kids with conch shell.He is clever and strong.His best friend is Piggy.

Simon:He is perfect boy so he represents Jesus.He always wants to help people.He doesn't believe the monster.
Ralph:Ralph is the leader of th chids.He acts like an adult more than the others.He foud the shell and get the childs together.he is balanced to everone .He have some problems with jack abot jacks killin dream and his violance acts.He is optimistic.He thinks they can go out of tehe islan. He thinks thy will rescue .

He is innocent at the firs because he couldnt kill an alive think but after that he started to dream about kiilin. He gets more violent very day.He became a kiiler.He loves his country so he is a raisist. He is against to democrasy and he is pesimistic.
Piggy:He is fat boy and he wears glasses.He has some different abilities than others.No one cares him he wanted to make name list to organise everyone but no one give their name to him.Ralph and piggiy are closefriends on the islan and ralp gets hep from piggy. They light the fire by using his glasses.
Simon:Simon is a silent boy.He is in love with nature. He dont have any problem with the boys.He is optimistic.He givs the lord of the flies name to dead pig head on the stick.He looks like and sybolises Jeasus.
Ralph- he is leader of all littluns. He is in father role so everyone respect him. He was always positive first but than he lososes his hopes. He tries to understand everything, everyone. He believes in democracy. also he is hardworker because he wants to have shelters. That means he is missing his old life.

Simon- simon is peaceful. He is helpful, he help to Ralph about shelters. He is hardworker. Always he is optimistic, sensitive, trustful character. He cares about nature and he is only character that knows there is no beast.
Jack- he is moody boy he doesn’t allow the rules. He is ambitious so it makes him bad boy. He is hunter in the novel and he shows us brutal side of humanity. In real life he represent rasisim. He is easygoing, dominant, cool-blooded. He want to be a leader in island and it shows he is dictator.
Ralph: Leader of all littluns and he is the father figure in the novel. He believes in democracy and trusts people. He is loyal supporter of social rules. He represents serenity. He is mature, hard worker, peaceful and well organized.

Simon: He represents Jesus. He has extraordinary senses. He is optimistic. He is a mystical character. He gave the name to Lord of The Flies. Simon is only one who knows there is no real beast. He knows the real beast is inside the boys. He wants to save nature. He is mature, balanced, sensetive, and helpful kid.
JACK: Jack is the most violent one of the tribe. He represents evil and death because he is in a hunter role. He also symbolises anarchy and it causes violence. He is the first hunter of the group then he gained power and became the leader with his savageness.

ReplyDeleteHe was leader at the beginnig. He is an optimistic character, he always thinks and does good things. His leadership depends on democracy and peace. A hard working character. He is a father role for littluns because of he is calm and calms down them. He is mature behaves like an adult and trustworthy. Ralph represents serenity.
*Jack
He is against to Ralph’s otority and wants to be leader. Brutal side of humanity. Had of hunters after a while he generate his own group. He is self confident and ambitious. He plays the passimist. Cold blood thats why hunts and kills easily.
*Piggy
He is fat and he has glasses so they call him as Piggy. An open-minded character but no one cares him he is not dominant. One of the hidden character. He loyal to society and wants to be saved. Represents poverty.
*Simon
He is an interesting caharecter. He feels that he is a part of nature. Only he talked with lord of the flies thats why he symbolize Jesus. The only character knows there is no beast.
Ralph is the leader first but loses his power to Jack. He supports rules of society he is like the father of the littluns. He represents peace and democracy. He is the most mature of the group. He is well organized but lazy because he doesn’t try hard enough to get back his place and stop the madness.
ReplyDeleteJack is a very anxious boy that is starving of power. He is representing savagery and dictator ship in the island. He is always going against democracy and is always trying to act dominant towards the littleuns. He is ambitious to make himself the leader of the kids.
Piggy is the most rational kid in the island. He isn’t clouded by bad thoughts that the other kids are having. He is logical and loyal towards his friends and society. He is reliable, talkative and peaceful.
Simon represents Jesus Christ the founder and savior of the kids in the island. He is peaceful with his surroundings. Just as he finds out the truth he gets killed. He is passive, and open minded.
